Arnie's Peewit has arrived!

She's had a long journey, but she is finally here! I am so ecstatic and elated to finally have her here with me. She's a very special doll to me, as she just evokes the emotions I have felt with my doll collecting for the past years. Since my Mom died 3.5 years ago, it's been hard to find joy in a hobby that reminds me of her. Little by little, I am able to deal with the grief better now. When my husband saw Peewit before I ordered, he said "She looks so sad. Are you going to be okay with a sad doll?" I thought about it for a moment, and the more I did, I realized that's the reson why her face spoke me to more than the others at that moment. The sad and thoughtful look on her face pulled me in and I knew she was the doll for me. I was trying to think of a name, but I will need to think on it for a bit. I just wanted to share some of my box opening pics

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Yes, the lace top is a work of art. I had heard of the magnet clasps that were on the Sisters' clothing, but I had no idea how they work. Each magnet is covered with a little bow and the two bows clasp together oh so perfectly. Such a neat mechanism. It's so delicate I have to play with her with care.
