福世 / Little Owl Arrival

It's has been a long time that I was so excited to receive a new Doll. I was even more excited when I received the mail from Igor with the tracking info and the first photo of my lovely Popovy:

I ordered the Little Owl sculpt with opened eyes (OE) and the Doll was delivered Friday. I love the box and she was really nicely packed and protected for transport.


So I present you my Little Owl renamed 福世 (Fukuyo). Fukuyo is just marvelous, even without Makeup and I'm really amazed by the resin quality that is so smooth and pleasant to touch. She also poses divinely and have such good design and engineering, Popovy Dolls are very high quality dolls and I'm so so happy to have my first Popovy at home. I'm talking about my first Popovy because it's not the last, I'm already sparing money to afford a second one. I didn't want to show my Popovy naked only so on the 2nd & 3th photo, Fukuyo wears sexy lingerie by mayple.


Hereunder an extra photo I took to show Igor I succeed to detach her head. I needed to untie her head as her head has been already sent Saturday for her Faceup. Her body is truly amazing and I love the urethane eyes !


PS/  I wanted a japanese name for my Little Owl. Owl is translated in japanese by Fukurō (which is not a name) so I picked something close and I chose 福世 Fukuyo for my Popovy Doll. It's a rare japanese first name that means "Lucky Generation" !

Congrads on getting your girl. I love the name that you choose for her. She looks lovely. Even when they are blank, these dolls have such character.

Was it difficult to detach her head?

To detach her head wasn't an easy task... In fact, I found it very difficult to remove her head but it was even more difficult to put her head back on ! Now that I found the "trick" it's not that difficult

She's so beautiful and I'm simply amazed by the way her body poses so well !

Little Owl is a fabulous choice and I really look forward to seeing her faceup. And you're so right about the resin quality and wonderful posing...these girls are supreme!

When I opened the box and started manipulated my Little Owl, I already knew I'll need a 2nd one. These Dolls are perfect ! Thank you for my choice of Little Owl to start my PD's collection LOL and yes the resin quality is purely amazing ! I never owned any Dolls so smooth and soft to touch.

She is divine, even without her faceup....I can't wait to see what you will do with her....Congratulations on your darling!!!

How did you go about removing and replacing her head, please?

She really is exquisite, and such a lovely name. The pale blue eyes give her a very interesting look. Can't wait to see her after she has her face-up.

I can't hardly wait to receive her back from her spa treatment but I'll need to be patient...
Based on the previous heads I sent to the Faceup's artist, it'll take ~1 month to receive her back.

Igor adviced me to use a small pliers and it works great for me. I simply used the small pliers attached to the ring in her head and then it'll take some amount of force to be applied to pull on the elastic and turn the ring so you can remove her head.

As replied above to akathesia, it'll take ~1 month to receive her back with her Faceup.

Right now, I'm waiting for her dress and wig I ordered
And I'll spare some money to buy Popovy's shoes in the coming months.

That's what surprised me the most the first time I held a popovy. The resin is both sturdy and high quality, but light at the same time. I have minifees, but the smoothness of the popovy is much better.

Congrats to her, she is a very beautiful girl.

And I hold a Popovy last week in my hand. Yes she is real sturdy and smooth. You cannot compare her to minifee or other dolls.

Their resin is beautiful.

Congratulations. Definitely, she will be my second one. Saving up.
